This is probably the only place you will see me “showcased”. As the pastor of First Baptist Church, the ministry here is not about me, it is all about Jesus Christ.

On a personal note- I am married to my wife Sue. In June we will celebrate our 28th anniversary. We have 3 children, of which 1 still lives at home. I am a retired Navy Master Chief, having served 21 years. While completing my seminary training I worked as an industrial maintenance manager with a couple of different national firms. I have earned a B.S. in Management and Administration, and a Masters and Doctorate in the Theology. None of these things make me any better or smarter than anyone else.

When not at church, Sue and I are a foster home for Guardian Angel Basset Rescue and we have several Basset Hounds of our own ( if you stop by my office prepare to see pictures). I am an avid motorcyclist and I serve as a volunteer EMT with the EMS service in my community.

I will close this with sharing 2 of my favorite verses that sum up my philosophy of ministry. I would encourage you to come by and visit with us. There is always room for one more.

2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

1 Peter 5:2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind.
